Alan is a senior process and instrumentationl engineer with over 30 years of experience in onshore / offshore oil & gas, and petrochemical projects (EPC, EPCM). His expertise includes PFD, heat and mass balance, and P&ID preparation; process simulation; optimization and feasibility studies; relief, blow-down, and closed & open drain studies; and process design basis, specification, and Safe Chart / Cause & Effect Diagram development.

Additionally, Alan is experienced in line, valve, meter, and equipment sizing; process valve & equipment data sheet, line list, and valve list development; discipline and project estimating; project scheduling, project resourcing, and controls; and preparation of design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, RFO, and start-up deliverables.

Alan has a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and completed Masters in Chemical Engineering coursework (non convocated) from the University of Alberta.
