Mining operations, both start-up and expanding project capabilities, require proper strategic planning. My goal is that our commissioning processes successfully achieve clients' objectives in their operations.

Carlos is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 25 years of experience, who has led multidisciplinary projects for the mining industry in the region. As Commissioning Director based in the Lima office, Carlos is responsible for developing the team and overseeing commissioning support for projects he oversees, most notably Anglo American's Quellaveco Project.

Carlos has a broad and transversal knowledge of mining operations, with experience in the commissioning and operation stages. At Minera Cerro Verde, he held various positions including Planner, Maintenance Supervisor, Superintendent and Manager for the Freeport-Moran Group. He participated in the start-up of the two concentrator plants and the commissioning of the Linga tailings dam and the wastewater treatment plant PTAR "La Enlozada", in addition to managing the Hydrometallurgical Process Plant of Minera El Abra in Chile. In the Antofagasta Minerals group, his experience as Fluid Transport and Tanks Manager at Minera Los Pelambres stands out.

He has been involved in the implementation of new technologies for several mining projects, such as the large-scale use of alternative anodes in an SX-EW plant and wick drains for heap leaching, among others. He recently participated as President of the Executive Committee of Gecamin's Tailings Congress in Chile.

Carlos has a strategic vision focused on achieving results, bringing outstanding experience, knowledge and teamwork.

Carlos holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and holds an MBA from the ESAN University in Lima, Peru. He is a member of the Peruvian Engineers Association and was President of the Cerro Verde Engineers Association.
