Claudio brings extensive experience leading technical teams in the Mining and Environment sectors within international consulting firms. His expertise focuses on the geotechnical design of tailings and heap leach facilities, leveraging both office-based analysis and on-site evaluations.

Currently, Claudio is involved in implementing the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) for major mining companies. His role includes conducting audits, due diligence, Dam Safety Reviews (DSR), Dam Breach Analysis (DBA), and FMEA risk workshops. He also provides Construction Quality Assurance (CQA), Engineer of Record (EOR) services, technical support for environmental permit approvals, and develops OMS manuals and EPR plans. Additionally, Claudio is adept in the design of geosynthetics, cut-off walls, grouting curtains, and conducting geotechnical, hydrogeological, and rheological characterization campaigns.

Claudio’s contributions extend to the international stage, where he has both presented and organized technical works at key conferences. He is currently serving on the Organizing Technical Committee for the XVII Pan-American Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (PANAMGEO 2024), set to take place in Chile.
