David has over 20 years of experience in executing geological and geotechnical studies for the mining industry. His expertise includes mineral exploration, regional geology, geotechnical and environmental work for open-pit and underground mines, tailings dams, waste dumps, tunnels, and underground structures.
As Principal Geologist based in our Lima office, David is responsible for ensuring the technical quality of the geological/geotechnical reports. He brings unique capabilities in satellite image interpretation and analysis, surface and underground geological-geotechnical mapping, support design, and the installation of piezometers and permeability tests in rocks and soils.
David's key projects include the Tailings Dam Expansion Project at the El Porvenir Mine (Nexa Resources), the identification of unstable geological zones in the location for a future heap leach pad at the Minaspampa project (Minaspampa Mining Company) and the identification of unstable zones at the site of the future heap leach pad at the Shahuindo mine (Pan American Silver).
David is geolofical engineer from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru.
