The effective use of geotechnics in engineering allows for the development of projects that are safer for the environment and the community, and more cost effective.

Fernanda is a geotechnical engineer, based in Belo Horizonte. She brings more than five years of academic experience, auditing and geotechnical projects focused on mining. She has conducted research involving the use of geosynthetics for gold tailings disposal, contributed to inspections and audits of major tailings dams in Minas Gerais, and contributed to both an Environmental and Operational Risk (EoR) project and a geotechnical project focused on infrastructure.
