Florencio is Vice President of Peru, responsible for ensuring the delivery of an integrated service offering and providing value-added solutions to our clients. Florencio recognizes the importance of incorporating social and sustainability considerations into project solutions from an early stage to ensure that projects meet today's environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements. He is familiar with the standards that apply to the mining industry throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction, operation and closure.
Prior to joining Ausenco, Florencio was Country Manager at Worley, Peru, where he was responsible for the success of numerous mining projects. Before this, he held the position of business development Director for South America at Jacobs, where he focused on strategic wins for the Mining & Metals group. Florencio began his technical career in the energy sector in the UK, connecting large-scale renewable energy, both onshore and offshore, to power grids. He has over 20 years of experience in the power sector expanding over 25 countries.
Florencio holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid and a Ph.D. in Energy from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom.
