German is a metallurgical engineer based in Lima, Peru, with more than 20 years of experience in the development of large engineering and construction projects for the mining industry. As Lead Process Engineer based in the Lima office, he has been responsible for supervising the process team and managing local projects, including the prefeasibility study for Compañía Minera Antapaccay S.A.’s Confidential project and the feasibility study for Compañía Minera Antamina S.A.’s Debottlenecking and Crushing Conveying System project
German has a broad knowledge of mining operations, with experience in the design and optimization of concentrator plants, and metallurgical testwork for mining simulation. German has held various positions including Senior Process Engineer, Metallurgy Specialist and Project Manager for leading regional mining companies. Key engineering and construction projects include the start-up of the operations expansion for Sociedad Minera El Brocal S.A.A. and the supervision and execution of the mine sampling for the feasibility study for the operations expansion of Shougang Hierro Peru S.A.A.
German’s strategic vision is focused on achieving results based on teamwork and ongoing technical training, such as the use of metallurgical process simulators.
German studied at the School of Metallurgical Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru and has an MSc in Geometallurgy from the same university.
