Gonzalo has extensive expertise in managing sustainable development projects across the energy, mining, oil and gas, renewables, and urban development sectors. He is passionate about accelerating the energy transition and promoting sustainable development to mitigate climate risks while fostering social and economic opportunities.
With valuable experience working for multinational companies, Gonzalo has a successfully track record of implementing acquisitions, strengthening company culture and brand recognition, and delivering solutions for some of the most challenging projects globally. He takes a strategic approach to leadership and business development, with proven skills in change management and business innovation.
Prior to joining Ausenco, Gonzalo served as a country manager for Peru and Mexico operations, responsible for leading more than 1,000 employees. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in New York, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile.
