John is a structural engineer with over 30 years’ experience relating to the structural and seismic analysis and design of both infrastructure and buildings. He has worked on numerous new projects as well as renovation and upgrade projects developing and incorporating innovative and cost effective schemes for construction within existing facilities and on limited sites.

He is an expert on all aspects of design codes, especially regarding seismic and dynamic considerations; in this regard he is currently Chair, Standing Committee on Earthquake Design, NBCC.

John presented a paper, in collaboration with team members, outlining the analysis, design, seismic design criteria, sustainable concrete mix design and construction of the Little Mountain reservoir, at the 13th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering.

He was involved in five other papers/ presentations/articles on the successful and award winning Little Mountain Reservoir project.
