Jon is an Operations Manager specializing in asset reliability and optimization.

Jon brings 5+ years of experience to his role as Operations Manager. He specializes in asset reliability and optimization, as well as strategy development using our in-house, asset management tool Orien. Jon’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Queensland.

Since joining Ausenco in 2018, Jon has supported a number of client projects including:

  • Queensland Sugar – Providing ongoing asset management and engineering support across 6 sugar handling terminals on the Queensland coast.
  • Lihir Gold, Newcrest, Papua New Guinea – Produced maintenance strategies, life cycle maintenance cost profiles, asset disposal optimisation and capital spend forecasts across mobile and field assets.
  • Olympic Dam, BHP - Produced an operational and capital forecast’s for project feasibility of major Expansion.
  • Neptune Port, Vancouver Ports - Conduct a Lifecycle Cost Analysis for the continual maintenance and upgrade of port sheet pile wall infrastructure.

Prior to joining Ausenco, Jon spent several years with Glencore, working as an Electrical and Project Engineer across multiple coal mines. Jon also has previous experience in the Industrial Chemicals and Fertiliser industry.
