José is a senior operational readiness consultant based in Santiago, Chile, responsible for facilitating the transfer from the construction stage to the production stage at mining units, and ensuring the cost-effective operation of customer assets. He has more than 30 years of experience in the development of mining projects, including the maintenance and supply of equipment and installations of copper concentrator plants in Chile and Peru.

Jose’s experience spans medium and large mining companies, for greenfield and brownfield projects, in all stages of project development, from pre-feasibility to production. Within concentrator plants he specializes in the dry area: crushing plant including conveyors, feeders, crushers and screens. Jose's experience in leadership roles gives him capabilities as a facilitator and integrator of teams focused on business development, customer satisfaction, quality management and innovation.

Some of Jose's key projects within the implementation and ramp up of concentrator plants include; the plant modernization at Codelco's Chuquicamata division and Lumina Cooper's Caserones project plant. José and his team are currently supporting Goldfields' Salares Norte plant.

José has a degree in Civil Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Chile.
