As a senior technical lead and subject matter expert, she brings over 20 years of experience in permitting, federal, territorial and provincial regulatory regimes for mining and renewable power. Additionally, Journey works extensively on species at risk issues and land use planning for large projects. She designs, assesses, and implements monitoring and management plans and other parts of an environmental management system.
Journey uses her strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, meeting client needs on mining and renewable power projects from the initial feasibility phases to operations and closure. Her core skills encompass impact assessments, permitting, detailed design, project review and project management.
She holds a bachelor of science with honours in environmental biology from the University of Alberta and a law degree from York University.
