Luke is a Lead Mechanical Engineer with 10 years' experience across engineering consultancies working on multiple commodities and project stages.
Luke’s career started on-site in the Pilbara as a graduate engineer before moving across to consulting and project delivery. Having worked on projects of all sizes, he has held positions such as discipline engineer, lead mechanical engineer and engineering manager. Luke has expertise in plant layout and wet processing while ensuring value is derived through the project stages via flowsheet optimization and the capture and analysis of risks and opportunities. He works closely with client teams to ensure the project solutions are in line with expectations as well as allowing quick collaboration and decision making.
Since Luke joined Ausenco in 2023, he has undertaken the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer on a variety of projects across Gold, Copper, Nickel and Rare Earths commodities and has assisted in optimizing flowsheets and design to achieve key milestones. This involves project roles and leadership within the Mechanical Engineering team. The growth of the team from 2023 to now has been extremely satisfying for him to be a part of and allowed him to apply his technical and leadership skills.
