Mauro is a pipeline engineer with over 9 years of experience delivering high-value pipeline projects transporting various commodities including iron, gold, bauxite, copper and phosphate across Brazil. His work on long-distance pipelines includes transporting both concentrates and water.
Mauro joined Ausenco in 2012 as an intern, developing his skillset within the pipelines group in new systems with lower acquisition and operational costs. He has since expanded his capabilities by designing pipelines for slurry and water transport with steady-state and hydraulic transient calculations, in addition to design criteria, mass balance calculations, engineering and process flowcharts, and more.
One of Mauro’s key projects includes Vale’s Iron Pipeline Project for the Viga Mine located in Congonhas, in the state of Minas Gerais., Mauro was responsible for designing the iron ore and water pipelines for this exciting project.
Mauro’s has a B.Sc.in Chemistry from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Centro Universitário UNA, Brazil.
