With 19 years of experience, Michael has worked on a diverse range of projects in Ontario as well as across Canada and internationally. Michael is regularly involved with large infrastructure projects, for which he leads multi-disciplinary teams conducting federal, provincial, and municipal environmental assessments. At the municipal level, he leads environmental impact studies for green field developments, regional natural heritage system planning studies, master plans and policy development.
Through all phases of project planning and development, Michael brings expertise to assist clients to understand and manage their environmental risks as well as build regulatory and stakeholder support for projects. He appreciates opportunities to consult and engage with governments, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders’ in a manner that is inclusive and respectful.
Michael has a reputation for being patient, thoughtful and working with clients to tailor scopes of work that fit their needs. Michael is highly adept at working with public and private clients, advising clients on regulatory approval options, implications to schedule and budget, and assembling the right technical teams to achieve project and client goals. He challenges inefficiencies in the approval process, where appropriate, and builds support for alternative methods.
