Monica has more than 15 years of experience and is skilled in managing projects to integrate competing strategies and making decisions regarding procedures, risk reduction and mitigation at local and international levels. She is well acquainted with environmental regulations in the US and Mexico. Her skills include developing strategies to meet different environmental targets using the best tools and systems to monitor performance and comply with environmental legislation in both countries.

Her experience includes projects related to the environment and integrated water management internationally in Europe, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America. Her experience includes interdisciplinary as well as international collaboration and her expertise is the result of combined experience in applied research and consulting.

Monica is experienced in developing strategic planning for integrated mine closure, and implementing various closure and reclamation activities, both during the mine life as progressive closure and as part of final closure. Her expertise includes environmental assessment and planning of a catchment-based approach applying a diverse range of sustainable environmental and hydrological processes to support mine operation throughout its lifetime.
