Nicolas is a Chemical Engineer with more than 15 years of experience leading projects related to environmental issues for mining and oil companies in Argentina. He has led Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Baseline Studies using a multidisciplinary approach and is focused on achieving high quality results and working collaboratively with clients.
Nicolas has held various positions, such as project manager, in major engineering companies in Argentina. He also worked in the upstream oil sector where he was a development engineer working on assisted hydrocarbon recovery projects using biotechnology (MEOR - Microbial enhanced oil recovery). Some of his most important mining and oil projects that he managed include Josemaria Resources Inc.'s Josemaría Project and YPF SA.'s Villa Reynolds Project.
As a Senior Manager in Environment and Sustainability for Argentina, based in our Mendoza office, Nicolas is responsible for developing and supervising environmental characterization and remediation projects as well as leading the local Environment and Sustainability and Engineering – Geotechnics teams. In this role, he ensures that projects are delivered to the highest standards. An example of strong teamwork was the completion of the EIA for the Josemaría copper, gold, and silver project for Josemaria Resources Inc.
Nicolas received his B.Sc. from the School of Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional Regional Mendoza in Argentina. and completed postgraduate studies in Management Engineering from the same university.
