Peter is a registered metallurgical engineer with over 25 years of experience in mineral processing industry, working with various commodities. As a Senior Process Engineer, Peter is responsible for evaluating and interpreting metallurgical data, coordinating/managing laboratory test programs, developing process design criteria and mass balances, and supporting project studies that include metallurgical processes particularly for flotation circuits.

Peter started his career as a metallurgist at a copper/moly operation that also ran a heap leaching process. He held plant metallurgist roles at two other large tonnage BC copper flotation concentrators up till 2008 when he joined a metallurgical testing laboratory. Over these years as the Pilot Plant Manager and Operations Manager, Peter participated in a wide range of metallurgical test programs. His interest in finding better solutions has included coarse particle flotation, ore sorting and geo-metallurgy.

Experience in both operations and laboratory testing gives Peter a deep understanding of client needs.

In 2017, Peter published the paper Investigating the Potential of HydrofloatTM Coarse Particle Flotation Techniques on Copper Sulphide Ores in the 49th Annual Canadian Mineral Processors Conference Proceedings.

Peter completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining & Mineral Processing Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
