Sara has a strong background and experience in structural condition assessment and upgrade of existing buildings with a depth knowledge of regulations, building codes, technical standards, and practice guidelines. She is passionate and has a strong background in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
Throughout her career, Sara has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in structural engineering, practicing at some of longest established structural engineering firms in Vancouver, BC. She has been involved with design and development of various high profile, prominent high-rise and low-rise projects in Canada and the US.
It’s worth mentioning that Sara has provided valuable input to the seismic upgrade of several school projects in BC from assessments through design and construction, as she is certified to apply the current performance based Seismic Retrofit Guidelines (SRG) for seismic upgrade of low-rise school buildings in BC.
Sara holds a B.A.Sc. Civil Engineering and a M.Eng. Structural/Earthquake Engineering from University of British Columbia in Canada. She is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists and the Structural Engineers Association of British Columbia in Canada.
