I’m passionate about learning from great leaders, collaborating to solve challenges and making a positive impact. My goal is to one day inspire and guide others the way I’ve been inspired in my own journey.

Shamsea has over ten years of experience across the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, dairy and cosmetic industries. Her expertise includes process piping design, equipment sizing and specification, construction support and project management. She is well-versed in selecting critical process equipment— such as tanks, pumps, mixers, valves and instrumentation—and managing the full procurement cycle, from proposals and purchasing to equipment selection and expediting.

She brings a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and is familiar with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and Canadian pharmaceutical codes and standards.

Shamsea has experience conducting engineering feasibility studies, estimating schedules, preparing high-level budgeting reports, reviewing construction sites and preparing and compiling observations and deficiency reports. She is skilled in project control, including the monitoring scope, schedule, milestones, and budgeted hours.

Her recent projects include leading the detailed design for the Evonik Peroxide Plant in Maitland, Ontario, as the project manager and a process engineer. Her responsibilities include developing and finalising piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), data sheets, and equipment lists. She also coordinates pipe routing and equipment drawings, reviews valve and instrument selections and conducts client communications. At Post Foods in Niagara Falls, Ontario, she is overseeing the modernisation of steam distribution lines to improve system efficiency and safety, while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. In another recent project, she provided detailed design services as a process engineer for the Lanxess material handling project in Toronto. Across these projects, Shamsea consistently prepares key engineering documentation including P&IDs, equipment and instrument lists and capital cost estimates.

Shamsea holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Ryerson University and a project management certificate from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
