This has given him a sound understanding of the requirements for safely and successfully executing projects in remote locations with the accompanying logistics, security and social complexities.

He really enjoys the opportunities that his current role gives him to work with people from many and varied cultures and is truly proud to support Ausenco’s commitment to Respect the Communities and the Environments in which we work. Simon is truly passionate about safety in the work place and has an unwavering commitment to achieving Zero Harm, no matter where we are working.

Simon is proud to be part of the global mining industry and has a real passion for mining. He promotes the industry and its vital role in our society at every chance he gets. He relishes the opportunities to be part of our clients’ journeys throughout the development cycle of their projects, from exploration through to production.

As a mining professional he recognises that the cyclical nature of our industry dictates that capital needs to be deployed wisely and that operating costs must be optimised to match current market conditions. He knows that investors in the industry are looking for opportunities that maximise return on investment and that, at Ausenco, we must have this at the front of mind on every one of our assignments.

Simon attended the Gartrell School of Mining, Metallurgy and Applied Geology at the University of South Australia and graduated with a B.Eng (Hons) in Metallurgical Engineering in 1994.
