Suzie is a professional electrical engineer with thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), National Electrical Code (NEC) and other industry codes, as well as engineering standards and design practices (CSA, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, API, UL, etc.). She brings extensive hands-on experience in delivering power system modeling and studies.
A proven leader with strong problem solving and communication skills, Suzie leads projects involving complex engineering calculations and the specification and evaluation of transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, and uninterruptable power supply. She specializes in the design of industrial low and medium voltage systems, municipal potable water treatment power distribution and instrumentation, telecommunication systems, and BC Hydro substation electrical protection and control. She has been leading electrical design teams for major projects such as the Metro Vancouver Hellings Tank No. 2, Upgrade of Translink Stations, BC Hydro Brocklehurst Substation and Port Alberni Substation Feeder Section Retrofit projects.
Suzie has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology in Harbin, China and a Master of Engineering from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
