His expertise spans power system design, project management, maintenance, and system operations, focusing on equipment upgrades and rehabilitation in generating stations, substations, and spillway gates.
Throughout his career, William has contributed to large-scale projects, some with budgets reaching up to $250 million. His notable involvements include the BC Hydro Revelstoke Unit 5 Balance-of-Plant Tender Package and the Metro Vancouver Jervis Power System Upgrade.
One of William's core strengths lies in his knowledge of electrical systems within hydro-generating stations. This expertise encompasses a wide range of components, from generators, transformers, and turbines to cooling water systems, exciters, governors, switchgear, spillway gates, and intake gates.
He has a proven track record of managing capital projects, ensuring they adhere to defined scopes, schedules, and budgets. He also has expertise in preparing Electricity Purchase Agreements (EPAs) and recently prepared a renewal report for the Moresby Lake Hydro Facility in Sandpit, BC.
William holds registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
