Ausenco has been named a silver medal award winner in Canada’s Safest Employer awards. The award, which was presented in the category of Mining and Natural Resources, is sponsored by Canadian Occupational Safety magazine, and was granted in recognition of the company’s strong commitment to zero harm.
“Canada’s Safest Employers Awards recognise companies from across Canada that are raising the bar in the area of occupational health and safety,” said Amanda Silliker, editor of the magazine. “The winning companies represent a wide range of sectors —from hospitality to mining — and have exemplary programs in place to keep their workers safe.”
“This year’s competition had the largest number of applicants ever received in each category and competition was tough,” said Rob Close, HSEC Manager in North America, who attended the award presentation in Toronto, Ontario. “I am very proud of our HSEC team and Ausenco Canada employees for helping us achieve this recognition.” Canadian Occupational Safety magazine is the most widely-read publication on occupational health and safety in Canada, covering everything from office to heavy industry and general safety management to specific workplace hazards.
