RAVCO: Alignment options investigated

Location
Vancouver, Canada
Client
RAVCO

RAVCO selected Ausenco, in association with Golder Associates and Hatch Mott Macdonald, to do the alignment and feasibility study for the Project Definition Phase of the Vancouver segment of the RAV Line project.

The segment stretches from the north side of the Fraser River to the waterfront on Burrard Inlet in downtown Vancouver. Ausenco investigated numerous alignments in south Vancouver, across False Creek and in downtown Vancouver.

An alignment following Cambie, Davie and Granville Streets was recommended with the alignment in tunnel from the waterfront to S.E. Marine Drive.

The project team recommended nine station locations, prepared conceptual drawings, construction cost estimates, and a range of possible tunnel options for the segment.
