Jose is a highly skilled engineer with 10+ years of experience in the mining and energy sectors in the areas of operations and maintenance, reliability, and asset management. Jose has a passion for building strong client relationships and takes pride in increasing asset performance, minimizing risks, and reducing operating costs for clients and their projects. Having worked with clients across the globe, he understands the importance of establishing and implementing defined maintenance strategies, systems, and processes to ensure projects meet their operational goals. Jose is also an avid user and trainer of our in-house Maintenance Strategy Software – Rylson 8.
As a Project Manager in Asset Optimization, Jose leads a team of asset management consultants who provide a range of services in asset optimisation, operational excellence, and operational readiness. He has led asset optimisation teams in Chile, South Africa, and Brazil, supporting a range of maintenance needs from tactic development through to work management systems and maintenance workforce development.
Since joining Ausenco in 2014, Jose has held several key project roles, from executing technical asset management projects, to contracting and building asset management teams and developing Ausenco’s engineering capabilities worldwide.
Prior to joining Ausenco in 2014, Jose worked for Gamesa Wind Power as a Technical Manager responsible for the operation and maintenance of 600 wind turbines in wind farms located in Egypt. He started his career supervising the commissioning of wind turbines across Italy, Mexico, Greece, and Egypt. Jose holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering in Electronics and Automatic Systems from Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid (ETSII). In addition, he is certified personal development coach by Smart Coach.
