James is a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in hydraulics and 20 years of experience in the mining sector. At Ausenco, he leads the technical support for the Pipelines area. He has led major projects, profiling his expertise in the engineering, construction and commissioning of slurry and water pipelines.

As a Senior Engineer, James is responsible for leading the service of long-distance lines for the transportation of fluids, sizing of pumping equipment, tanks and associated equipment/accessories. He ensures the technical specifications and standards of the constructive processes are met.

In 2019, he led the first seawater line with bare steel in Peru for the Mina Justa project. His experience in mining projects spans multiple mines in Peru, Chile and Argentina, including the following projects, which stand out for their engineering, construction and commissioning:

  • Hudbay Pirquitas Mine in Argentina

James’ innovative spirit continuously drives him to add value to each project and optimize the delivery processes. His approach focuses on teamwork and leveraging the support of our global team of experts from Peru, Chile and North America.

James is a Mechanical Engineer from the National University of Trujillo (Peru) and holds a diploma in Hydraulics Applied to Mining from JRCap in Chile.
