What we do

Asset performance & operability

Market volatility, high production volumes, declining ore grades, increasingly remote mines, aging assets and rising supply chain complexity are amplifying the cost of operational underperformance, and much of this cost is not well understood in economic terms by people positioned to act on it.

Ausenco helps mining operators close the gap between the performance their assets were designed to deliver and the performance they sustain in operation. We have two objectives: capturing the value available in under-utilised or under-performing assets, and protecting the value already in place against reliability loss, degradation and unplanned failure.

How we create and protect value

Value capture: Are we capturing all the value available?

Assets often fail to reach or sustain their designed performance. We identify high-risk and under-utilised assets, and quantify the economic upside of closing that gap.

Value protection: Are we protecting the value we already have?

Assets sometimes degrade, fail or lose reliability faster than planned. We quantify the value at stake and put systems and governance in place to sustain performance against the approved business case. Our global team of experts help clients understand the broad business impact that asset performance has on profitability and long-term value creation. Effective asset management is a strategic value driver for mines, and through our structured diagnostic approach, our team links technical findings to financial outcomes to help guide capital and operational decision-making.

We also collaborate with our clients to deliver tailored improvement programs that align with their business priorities. Our focus extends beyond project delivery to achieving sustained performance and operability improvements that generate meaningful business results.
