Jorge is a mining professional with over 15 years of experience in the areas of hydrometallurgy, flotation, process simulation, OPEX estimation, as well as assay and metallurgical laboratory design and financial modelling. This background makes him highly versatile and a strong asset to the team.
As a Senior Process Engineer, Jorge oversees process design, conducting detailed engineering assessments, and providing technical support for various projects. Jorge ensures that projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, leveraging his extensive experience to drive successful outcomes.
Jorge has held key roles such as process engineer, project engineer, and engineering manager on projects ranging from small PEAs to large-scale EPCM projects with budgets exceeding US$300M. At Ausenco, he has worked on notable projects such as the Cordero Feasibility project in Chihuahua, Mexico and the Campo Morado project in Guerrero, Mexico.
Jorge has presented at several industry conferences, including the Discoveries Mining Conference in Mazatlán, México, in May 2024, where he co-presented Are you getting the most from your Mining Operation?
Jorge completed his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona in, Tucson, Arizona and his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad de Sonora in Hermosillo, Sonora.
