Pedro is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer with over eighteen years of experience spanning mechanical engineering, piping engineering, project management, and project controls, with a particular focus on hydraulic systems. As Engineering Manager, Pedro is responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring proper resource allocation and adherence to quality standards.

Pedro’s passion for hydraulic systems has been a driving force in his career. He has extensively studied slurry pipelines, internal flow phenomena, and hydraulic equipment, including pumps, tanks, mills, thickeners, flotation cells, and filtration systems. His expertise in these areas has enabled him to develop innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of mining operations.

Pedro has worked on several notable projects, including the CSTP Nuton Project, Los Azules Project in Argentina and the Los Ricos Project in Mexico. Before joining Ausenco, he was a Project Engineer on Grupo México’s Buenavista del Zinc Project, where he oversaw the development of the entire plant engineering and led the engineering team

Pedro completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Maintenance from the Instituto Tecnológico de Hermosillo in Sonora, México. Pedro holds a Project Management certification based on PMI and IPMA standards from Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of Mexico’s most prestigious universities.
