Peter is the Vice President, Vancouver, responsible for leading the Vancouver office and delivering business growth through the strategic pursuit of new opportunities. He is passionate about building strong teams and focuses on creating a culture where his people are supported, valued, and empowered to find a better way.

Peter is an accomplished leader with over two decades of experience in the mining, consulting and construction sectors in Canada, US, Ireland, and the UK. He has been both on the owner and engineering side, giving him a well-rounded perspective and strong understanding of the importance of solid relationships, listening, innovating, and delivering value.

Prior to his current role, Peter was Director, Operations, responsible for a portfolio of projects , studies, and teams, and developing and supervising the execution of business operations and planning of the office. He has held numerous managerial roles, and is recognized as a dynamic and motivational leader, with a clear vision on how to succeed and execute.

Since joining Ausenco in 2011, he has worked on numerous high profile projects and studies ranging from $5M to $2B USD including delivering the FS, GMP and EPC price for Blackwater Gold project in British Columbia, Canada, the EPCM for the Goldstrike Project in Nevada, USA, and the PFS and EP(Cm) services for the Gibraltar Crusher Relocation Project in British Columbia, Canada.

Peter has a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from the Technological University in Dublin. He is a Professional Engineer with the Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) and a Chartered Engineer in Ireland.
