Silvia joined Ausenco in late 2018 as Manager, Transportation & Logistics (T&L), responsible for further developing our T&L presence in Latin America. She is well placed to drive this growth, having an intimate knowledge of the market and a firm understanding of her clients’ needs. Before her employment at Ausenco, Silvia held the position of Engineering and Consulting Manager at Neltume Ports, Chile (part of Ultramar) responsible for all port and marine engineering projects for business development opportunities as well as the 16 port operations of Ultramar in South America.

Silvia has a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Civil Engineering, specializing in ports, hydraulics, structures and renewable energy. In addition to her management experience, she has worked internationally on the design and construction of port infrastructure, including projects for breakwaters, berths, trestles, and various port foundations. Her education, years of experience and progression through roles in design, construction, and operations & management translate into an ability to anticipate requirements and manage risk on a project. This diverse background grants her the knowledge to successfully take on any project from feasibility study through to design, engineering, project delivery, construction, operations and optimization.
