We are pleased to announce that Matildas star Tameka Yallop has joined Ausenco as our official Brand Ambassador.
Tameka is an Australian midfielder who has scored over 115 goals in her career, including one of the heart-stopping penalty goals in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarter-final. This year, she rejoined the Brisbane Roar Liberty A-League squad ahead of the 2023/2024 season. She is excited to be inspiring younger players and contribute to the overall success of the team.
"I am honored to join the Ausenco team and help build their unwavering commitment to the growth of women's soccer. This partnership not only showcases their dedication to excellence in engineering and project management but also their belief in empowering women in sports. Together, we'll kick down barriers and score new goals in the world of women's soccer. Let's build a brighter future, both on and off the field,” said Tameka Yallop.
“There are a lot of reasons why Tameka is a great partner for us - she’s a leader on her team, someone who lives her values, and an Australian making a global impact. She’s also pushing for equity in sport. As we work towards equity in our own industry, we can learn a lot from her experience. I’m looking forward to getting to know her better as she joins our events this year and next,” said CEO Zimi Meka.
Continuing our support for women’s football, Ausenco has signed on for our third season with the Brisbane Roar Liberty A-League squad as a proud Platinum Partner and front-of-shirt sponsor. The agreement continues to provide players with professional development workshops and mentoring, preparing them for life on and off the field. These workshops are aimed at upskilling the players in business areas such as leadership, public speaking, finance and negotiation skills.
The values that the Brisbane Roar hold align with ours – strong performance and commitment to community. It is a sponsorship we are particularly proud of as we focus on developing women leaders, on and off the pitch, inside and outside our company.
We are looking forward to seeing what Tameka and the Brisbane Roar do this season.
