Arequipa, September 2025.- Ausenco, a global engineering and consulting company with 17 years of uninterrupted presence in Peru, received the PERUMIN Seal of Excellence in Gender Equality, an award given by the Mining Convention to organizations that implement concrete initiatives to reduce gaps and strengthen inclusion in the industry.

The award, presented during PERUMIN 37, highlights Ausenco's policies, programs, and best practices aimed at promoting women’s participation in mining, as well as its commitment to integrating equity and sustainability as core principles of its management.

"This recognition reaffirms our conviction that diversity drives better decisions and more sustainable projects. At Ausenco, we believe that gender equality is not only a principle, but a competitive advantage for the entire industry," said Leonardo Pena, Vice President of Peru, after receiving the award.

In addition to this award, Ausenco also participated in other key events at PERUMIN 37. At the TIS Forum, Pablo Monsalve, the company's energy transition consultant, led the presentation: "Promoting Sustainability - Electric Trucks to Transform Mining Logistics in the Andes." In it, he explained that it is essential for mining companies to evaluate the feasibility of using this type of vehicle through a comprehensive engineering study that provides technical and economic analysis to reduce costs and improve environmental sustainability.

Similarly, and in line with the recognition of the PERUMIN Seal, Alexandra Almenara, senior vice president and director of Global Sustainability Practices, joined the panel "Diverse Value Chain: Shared Responsibility for Equity," where she addressed the challenges of closing the gender gap in mining.

Leonardo Pena also took part in Australia Night, a networking event that brought together industry leaders, where he highlighted the role of engineering consultancies as key players in the competitiveness of the industry. In addition, Ausenco leaders participated in the Sustainability Dinner organized by the consultancy, where industry trends were discussed.

With 17 years of uninterrupted presence in the country, Ausenco reaffirmed at PERUMIN 37 its commitment to "always finding a better way," integrating sustainability, equity, and technical excellence as pillars for redefining what is possible in the mining industry.
