Anuj is a technology leader passionate about innovation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence within the engineering and resources industry. He is driven by ensuring technology is fit for purpose, secure by design, ethically deployed, and leveraged to deliver measurable business value, resilience, and competitive advantage.
Anuj joined Ausenco in 2006 as a graduate engineer, following two years working on Rio Tinto’s $2 billion Gove aluminium refinery project. Since then, he has built a career spanning engineering, systems design, project management, and business analysis. His work has included business process re‑engineering, database and information management, systems optimisation, and large‑scale platform integration.
In 2018, Anuj was appointed Vice President of Technology Services & Solutions, and in 2021 he assumed the role of Chief Information Officer. As CIO, he leads a global IT and digital team supporting Ausenco’s operations across 22 offices over five continents. In this role, he is responsible for driving enterprise‑wide digital transformation, cyber security strategy, AI adoption, and the modernisation of technology platforms to enable secure, scalable, and high‑performance delivery.
Throughout his career, Anuj has developed deep expertise in the integration of systems, processes, and information management, with a strong focus on cyber resilience and risk management. He has led the transition of legacy systems and infrastructure to modern, cloud‑agnostic environments, embedding zero‑trust security principles and AI‑assisted monitoring, predictive threat detection, and automated response capabilities. His leadership ensures that cybersecurity is embedded as a core business enabler rather than a reactive control.
Anuj has spent significant time working across Ausenco’s global offices, deploying enterprise systems, standardising best practices, and tailoring change management approaches to suit diverse cultural and regulatory environments. He is particularly focused on translating complex technology and cyber risk concepts into clear business outcomes for executive and operational leaders.
He has received multiple industry and professional recognitions. In 2021, he was named one of the Top 10 Most Innovative CIOs by Analytics Insight magazine. Earlier in his career, he was recognised by industry peers with the Innovation in Mining and Metals Award at the Bentley Year in Infrastructure Conference for the design, implementation, and successful deployment of an in‑house revision control system that delivered substantial cost savings on the Constancia project in Peru.
Anuj holds a Master of Business, majoring in International Business, equipping him with strong commercial acumen and global leadership capability.
