He has extensive experience in project management, and has worked on mining projects in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Guinea and France.
With a degree in agricultural and environmental engineering from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa – UFV (Brazil), a master's degree in hydrogeology from Université Grenoble Alpes (France), and an MBA in contaminated site remediation management from Universidade de São Paulo - USP (Brazil), Mateus brings technical expertise in the development of conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models (flow and transport), pit dewatering system design, hydro-geotechnical models and tailings management projects, and environmental and mine closure studies with a focus on hydrogeology, geochemistry, and geotechnics.
