Vince has over 30 years of experience across various industries like manufacturing, chemicals, engineering, aerospace, and oil and gas. He attributes his success to his style of making those around him feel respected, empowered and challenged.
Vince has successfully turned around several businesses resulting in stronger year-over-year gross profit. One of his more memorable experiences was the turnaround of a $200M manufacturing facility. This facility had struggled since its commissioning, and the operations team had attempted two previous turnarounds without any success. Vince had the opportunity to lead the same team on a third attempt. The project was successful within six months, and the two biggest lessons he learnt was firstly, having a robust strategy was critical, and secondly, to never underestimate the latent knowledge and potential of a team.
As an independent consultant Vince has had many different assignments. He developed a short course in applied analytics for business, which he taught as part of an MBA program, helping business leaders make faster, more informed decisions. More recently, prior to joining Ausenco, Vince has worked with different startups, analysing their business models and developing investment theses for investors.
Vince is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. He has a Master of Business Administration through The International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, a Master of Science from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and an electrical engineering degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
