Ausenco has been awarded the feasibility study update on the Copi Mineral Sands Project for RZ Resources.
Located in the southwest corner of New South Wales, Australia approximately 75km northwest of Wentworth, Victoria, the project aims to mine mineral sands deposits that sit within a significant saltwater aquifer.
The minerals include high levels of the valuable rutile and zircon in the heavy mineral concentrate along with leucoxene, ilmenite and rare earth element bearing minerals.
Ausenco has been working collaboratively with RZ Resources since early 2021 to mature the project for development. Significant savings were identified through the value engineering phase, which lead to Ausenco being sole sourced for this study.
The scope involves an update to the cost estimate developed in the Feasibility Study phase in May 2023, based on the value engineering phase that was recently completed. Ausenco looks forward to strengthening our experience in mineral sands projects and working closely with RZ Resources on this study.
