The Ausenco Foundation recently provided scholarships to 14 students in El Cerrillo, a rural community located 150 kms from Santiago, Chile. The current and former students from Rural School Huilquío, were recognised for their academic excellence with financial scholarships that will allow them to continue their secondary education.
The Ausenco Foundation initiative was developed by members of Ausenco’s Santiago office in partnership with the School, whose staff helped us identify the most worthy students and the format of the scholarships.
The recipients were presented with their scholarships at the closing ceremony of the school year in December 2013. Program coordinator and former employee of Ausenco, Rigoberto Espinoza , Director of the Rural School Huilquío, thanked the Ausenco Foundation for our contribution for helping to improve the education and future of the new generations of students; a contribution which is valued by the whole school community.
