Ausenco took home three awards at the 24th Annual Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – British Columbia (ACEC-BC) Awards Gala on Saturday 6 April.

The Seismic Retrofit Guidelines project – which involves a performance-based seismic risk assessment and seismic retrofit design of school buildings in British Columbia – received the Award of Excellence in the category of Soft Engineering. It also received the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Engineering Excellence which is the top award given to only one Awards of Excellence winner that excels in all areas of the rated criteria. Congratulations to John Sherstobitoff and the Ausenco seismic team.

The Gibraltar Development Plan 3 (GDP3) project also won the Award of Merit in the category of “Natural Resources, Energy & Industry.” Ausenco provided Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for the Taseko Mines Limited project in McLeese Lake, BC — the second largest open pit copper mine in Canada.
