Ausenco led the environmental assessment of a southern Alberta wind power project to obtain an Alberta Environment and Parks Fish and Wildlife Stewardship (AEP-FWS) Renewable Energy Referral Report and supported the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) Rule 007 Approval for the Project. Working in consultation with AEP, we completed the pre-construction baseline environmental assessment, including wildlife habitat mapping, wetland assessment, sensitive wildlife surveys, and coordinated the Noise Impact Assessment and Historical Resources Impact Assessment. We also completed the project-specific Environmental Protection Plan, Construction and Operations Management Plan, and Post-construction Monitoring Plan, and prepared responses to both the AEP-FWS and AUC Supplemental Information Requests. Ausenco has engaged closely with AEP-FWS throughout the Project to support Project amendments to layout and technology throughout the permitting and approval process. We developed unique alternative mitigation measures to facilitate Project siting and maintain Project schedules and will be supporting environmental construction monitoring during construction of the Project to observe compliance with permitting conditions.
