Start your career with a clear path to Professional Engineering

As a member of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) Accredited Employer Program, we offer Engineers-in-Training a structured and accelerated route to a P.Eng designation with expert mentorship every step of the way.

At Ausenco, you won't just earn your P.Eng, you'll build the skills, confidence, and professional network to thrive long after you do.

What Is the EGBC Accredited Employer Program?

The EGBC Accredited Employer Program (AEP) is a designation granted to engineering organizations that meet rigorous standards for professional training and mentorship. Being part of this program means we have a direct relationship with EGBC — and that relationship directly benefits you.

Here's what that means in practice:

  • Speed: The standard EGBC General Route assessment can take anywhere from 10 to 12 months. As an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) at Ausenco, you can complete your assessment in as little as 1 to 4 weeks — because our accreditation gives you expedited access to EGBC assessors.
  • Structure: We don't leave you guessing what "professional competency" looks like. The training plan will provide a clear, structured framework for building and demonstrating the competencies required by EGBC.
  • Support: You'll have access to an internal assessment panel of experienced engineering professionals who work closely with EGBC. Your supervisors actively review, refine, and verify your competency reports before they're ever officially submitted.

Why the program matters for your career

Earning your P.Eng is a milestone. But what you build on the way there matters just as much. At Ausenco, the EIT experience is designed to elevate your professional skills and career readiness well beyond the requirements of registration.

Through structured mentorship, high-quality project work, and expert guidance, you'll develop:

  • Technical depth
  • Professional judgment
  • Innovative thinking
  • Career momentum
