Janaina is a process engineer and gold plant specialist with over 17 years of practical experience in Brazil and Canada. Joining Ausenco as a process engineering intern in 2007, she gained considerable experience working with numeous offices around the globe and with different colleagues on varied projects. This experience allowed her to develop an excellent understanding of Ausenco’s values and purpose – ‘to find a better way’.
Janaina’s work encompasses process and engineering design, from studies to detailed engineering. She works with other disciplines such as mechanical, and piping and instrumentation which gives her a better understanding of the project as a whole and helps to optimize design. Her main experience is with gold, iron ore and copper projects, including resin-in-leach technology.
Janaina has worked on several major projects which involved collaboration between Ausenco’s global offices. This includes: commissioning of the Aurizona Gold Project EPCM, in Maranhão, Brazil (Equinox Gold), detailed design for Serrote Copper Concentrator, in Alagoas, Brazil (Mineração Vale Verde) and the PFS and FS for the Valentine Gold Project in Newfoundland, Canada (Marathon Gold).
