Ausenco’s scope for the Sepon Gold Project included complete engineering, procurement, construction and project management for the 1.25 Mt/y gold processing facility and associated infrastructure (subsequently expanded by Ausenco to 2.5 Mt/y).
Project scope included the construction of all processing facilities, infrastructure buildings, diesel fired power station, river water pumping system, installation of a satellite and wireless communications system, and the upgrade of 42 km of access road to the site including the installation of 110 culvert, causeway and bridge crossings (over 5000m3 of concrete).
Ausenco’s scope included the engineering design and construction of all processing facilities, surface infrastructure, power supply, water supply, access road and bridge crossings, buildings and tailings storage facilities; full global procurement, expediting and inspection services; complete construction management including the utilisation of a significant local workforce; and complete commissioning services, performance testing and training of plant operations people.
