Our engineering and layout professionals bring a wealth of technical expertise regarding conventional mineral processing equipment and circuits, including comminution, screening, flotation, leaching, thickening and filtration. Additionally, our experts are pioneers in the fields of ore sorting, direct lithium extraction, hydrometallurgy, coarse particle flotation and high-pressure grinding roll technology.

Our process design approach considers macro-level and micro-level design influences, and we leverage these to reduce risk and optimise project economics. We conduct trade-off studies to identify the optimal throughput, plant site, processing circuit, and tailings storage solution—while factoring in ESG impacts and permitting constraints. We aim to minimise capital and operating costs by:

  • leveraging natural contours to minimise overall earthworks volumes,
  • compacting the layout footprint and height to minimize steel, concrete, piping and cable while ensuring constructability, maintainability, and operability,
  • deploying equipment redundancy only where it adds process resiliency,
  • challenging support infrastructure to ensure it supports safe, reliable operation without un-necessary capacity and cost,
  • challenging the need for expensive enclosed process buildings and associated overhead cranage requirements and
  • minimising labour, reagents, consumable, and power requirements.
