The Engineer of Record (EOR) plays a critical role in the safety and integrity of tailings storage facilities. This role carries a deep responsibility to clients, communities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.

EOR responsibilities include:
- Technical leadership and responsibility for TSF design
- Verifying that facilities meet the appropriate technical criteria and industry best practices, and is aligned with current regulations and standards
- Observing and advising on project execution to ensure compliance with design intent and confirming that modifications maintain safety and efficiency
- Supporting operational teams with performance evaluations and risk assessments
- Providing ongoing guidance to owners, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in-line with best practices.
