With more than 13 years of experience as a safety professional, Jackie is passionate about driving health, safety, and environmental performance within organisations. Her expertise includes hazard identification, construction risk management, culture development, communication and consultation, human performance, project execution and commissioning. She also has experience in EPC and ECPM delivery models, operational readiness, safety systems and systems assurance.
Jackie believes safe outcomes begin in the design and planning phases, and she champions early engagement with the right stakeholders. Her leadership style is grounded in trust and empowerment, enabling individuals to influence and drive culture change. She fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and promotes continuous improvement.
Jackie oversees occupational health and safety for the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Middle East and North Africa regions. Operating across this large geographical footprint, Jackie addresses diverse challenges, including varying legislative frameworks, language and literacy barriers, cultural differences, climate conditions, physical security risks, and access to medical care, all requiring careful and strategic management to ensure the health, safety and security of our personnel.
Jackie has led safety efforts on major infrastructure projects, including the Taswater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) Alliance in Tasmania which delivered over $1.1 billion dollars of water infrastructure, the TasRail’s Burnie ship loader replacement, power facility shutdowns in central and southeast Queensland, water infrastructure installations for BHP’s Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) mine sites, and the Gladstone Ports Corporation’s Westen Basin Strategic Dredging project.
She holds a bachelor of occupational health and safety from Central Queensland University in Australia, and a diploma in human resources management. Jackie is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and Women in Sustainable Energy and Resources (WISER).
