Daniel specialises in the design and optimisation of bulk materials handling facilities at mine, ports and terminals globally, with a focus on machine design and moving architecture. He is passionate about helping clients solve complex problems by providing tailored, fit-for-purpose solutions that deliver value in the mining, transportation, waste and buildings industries.
Daniel also specializes in logistics studies which include pit-to-port transport and transhipping operations involving bulk and containerized products.
Having spent years in site-based roles at various ports and terminals, Daniel understands clients’ needs for practical, performance-based solutions. His expertise includes undertaking condition assessments, performance reviews and optimisation projects in brownfield applications.
With significant experience in detailed design of ship loaders, mobile machines and marine infrastructure, he offers specialised consulting which requires a deep understanding of detailed design or bespoke solutions for port and materials handling applications.
Daniel has leveraged his technical skills from designing mobile machines in the resources industry to design accessible and climate-resilient public marine infrastructure, recognised with numerous awards for innovation, good design and engineering excellence.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia and is a registered engineer in both Australia and Canada.
