When we are involved in the early design stages, we focus on fit-for-purpose designs that translate into overall cost reductions in the later stages of a project.

Florencia joined Ausenco in 2011 as a mechanical designer for the Lima office, bringing over 15 years of drafting experience throughout the pre-feasibility, feasibility and basic/detailed engineering phases of projects. Specializing in mechanical drafting, she is knowledgeable in developing project details, engineering layouts, and manufacturing equipment assembly, as well as plant management design systems, piping workshops, piping arrangements and developing isometrics and 3D models for various areas of a process plant. Additionally, she is conversant in civil/structural drafting and process diagram drawings.

As Principal Designer, Florencia leads all engineering design projects in the region and is responsible for arming her team with the tools to meet project requirements. Her responsibilities include the assignment and evaluation of available resources, layout design revisions, and performing design reviews at each stage of design through to its final delivery to the client.

Florencia has worked on significant projects at Ausenco including the Constancia Copper project as a 3D mechanical designer and structural drafter, responsible for the pebble return conveyor design as well as the review of the electrical system after the project’s completion. Additionally, she worked on the La Arena Sulphide Plant phase 2 pre-feasibility study as a mechanical drafter and the basic engineering phase of the Pampa Verde Gold-Silver Project as a mechanical drafter.
