Marcelo Henriquez has over 20 years of experience across corporate and project management, project sponsorship, due diligence, and strategic processes, as well as business development, procurement and contracts management, engineering design, commissioning, and construction.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Universidad de Chile, and is also a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a SME Registered Member in engineering and financial analysis.

Marcelo has built a successful career within the mining industry, participating in projects across several commodities including copper, iron, gold, silver, and cobalt. He has worked for companies including Lundin Mining, Wood (formerly known as Amec and Amec Foster Wheeler), Capstone Mining and Pan American Silver, developing his career in different global markets including Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, USA and Canada.

Marcelo joined Ausenco in May 2025, where he led several important proposals before being appointed Vice President of Minerals and Metals for Chile in January 2026.
